OUT OF THE OFFICE

I'd planned to have a whole bunch of posts all lined up for this week, like the organised blogger I am clearly not. Instead, I spent last week writing my butt off and this week I'm going AWOL to tie up one last story and, you know, pack. Leaving Wednesday! Until I'm back on board, here are a few pics from the fabulous farewell do Michael and Gypsy planned for me over the weekend (why do I never take enough photos at these things? I missed about 20 people). It was kind of amazing to me to see how many good friends I've made here all in one place (#blessed). Also, super funny to see Americans taste Vegemite for the first time, and enjoy some 'blamingtons' and meat pies. I'm going to miss each and every one of them (the friends, and the lamingtons), but I am so looking forward to spending some quality time with my Sydney friends (and family - lawd help me). Everyone kept asking me how I'm feeling and the answer is I DON'T KNOW PLEASE DON'T MAKE ME THINK ABOUT IT. But really, I am excited for Sydney time, and stressed about how the doggies will be not having someone home with them all day, every day, and worried that I'll spend too much time being sad about not being with Michael to enjoy myself, and a little nervous about being the new kid at school again and how I will adjust back to office life, and really hanging out for a tuna roll from my fave Vietnamese banh mi shop in Marrickville. That pretty much covers it, I think.
