What are you getting up to this weekend? I'm going to watch an old Joan Crawford thriller, Straight Jacket, tonight (that's her above with her dachshund, Pretzel). It's Michael's birthday on Sunday, but that's about the only excitement - I have three stories due on Monday so I will likely be chained to my desk when not out celebrating with him. With just over two weeks until we leave for Australia (yippee!) I am feeling the pressure to get on top of all my work so I can enjoy so time off in Sydney, Hobart and Hayman Island... but I'm also feeling hugely excited to see friends and family back home. What are your plans? Xx
The Dowager Duchess of Devonshire - a.k.a. the last of the Mitford sisters (the Kardashians of the 30s) - died this week. I hope she's convening with some Hons in that cozy linen closet up in the sky.
